JT Joinery have just completed a challenging and sympathetic refurbishment of the undercroft at Wimslow URC, the first of its kind during the church’s 170 year history. Improvements included both a new entrance and an all important emergency exit to the external elevations of the undercroft, whilst internally JT’s team of expert joiners have constructed stud partitioning to create an audio/visual room and adaptable function areas for the churches many groups to congregate. Although it was important to retain the integrity of original features, by installing¬† bespoke contemporary internal doorsets and ironmongery, vibrant IPS panelling and cubicles in the WC’s and incorporating a new staircase into the south side, the much anticipated improvements have brought this historical place of worship up to date and firmly into the 21st century.
